I've seen an original SPV (not the E100) with a melted case from where the battery got too hot

What models of Nokia are the offending ones?

I have a 6360 that I wear on my belt all the time.

I was planning on dumpping the phone the second I can get my hands on a Motorola.

It is the worst for reception, the network I am on has good coverage but the 6360 with the intenna ( no extendable antenna ), drops the signal far to much, and I have missed so many calls.

Now if there is any chance it is a bomb on my belt I will for sure not give it to my Nephew. I will toss it into the waste can right away.

hehe I dont think the chances of it exploding are all THAT high. Think of all the millions of nokias out there, and you hear of one or two exploding. Hardly time for mass panic.

Still I wouldn't want to discourage you from chucking your nokia in the waste

Neat. I thought the only time phones exploded are when the Mossad want to assassinate (sorry, "targeted killing") someone.
