Guest nexus Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 From today I am using all my SPV capabilities ;) I have installed a self made car kit, connected audio out to my car stereo. (together with pocketmusic and 10 hours of mp3) And the SPV is showing of next to my steering wheel, BUT, it would be nice if the backlight stays on when connected to a power supply, Is it possible to change the "with power power supply" profile to be set to backlight always on? (and backwards without power supply to XX seconds?) Or... a .reg file that changes that option so i can make a shortcut in my start menu will do the trick to... I am looking for it right now, but without result, maybe one 1337 SPVer has the solution already. I hope my problem is clear, Cauz my english isn't that good :D
Guest Machineman Posted October 10, 2003 Report Posted October 10, 2003 Hi welcome, Thy this Torch Cya
Guest midnight Posted October 10, 2003 Report Posted October 10, 2003 i dont that was quite what he was after ;) you can have a play with the reg and see if that works.... HKCUControlPanelBacklightACTimeout and change it to 99999 (which i think is the default number for infinite, if not then just put a rediculously high number like 9999999999) if it works then let me know :D
Guest Machineman Posted October 10, 2003 Report Posted October 10, 2003 I knew that but I do not know so much about the reg. So I thought to help him out with the torch prog. That's why. Cya
Guest victor_zhu Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 change the value HKCUControlPanelBacklightbattery timeout to 0 then the backlight will imediately ture off if you do not press anykey
Guest midnight Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 you copying info from my other post? ;) anyways, he wants to keep it on, not go off, and only when connected to the charger, to permanently enable the backlight (all the time, not just while charging), then set BatteryTimout to 99999
Guest nexus Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 you copying info from my other post? :) anyways, he wants to keep it on, not go off, and only when connected to the charger, to permanently enable the backlight (all the time, not just while charging), then set BatteryTimout to 99999 Midnight, you describe my exact problem! Machineman was kind too think with us too! :( I went through my registry before i asked the question, and i didn't even see ACtimeout, it's sooo obvious! I tried it immidiately!!! .... but too bad the obvious doesn't work  Maybe they have't used this? doen't work to pull the battery when in ac mode so i don't see the reason why this reg is implented :? hkcucontrolpanelbacklightactimeout(=99999) hkcucontrolpanelbacklightbatterytimeout(=15000) but you also have: hkcucontrolpanelnewpowerbacklighttimeout (=10000) hkcucontrolpanelpowerdisplay (=6000) ----------------------------------------------------- hkcucontrolpanelbacklightbatterytimeout(=15000) is this addible through a .reg tweak? thanks for thinking with me guys :D
Guest lowbug Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I need to do the same thing, when the phone is in the CAR profile... Keep backlight ON Stop phone from keylocking Basic things for a Nokia....Not it seems for a SPV :)

Guest lowbug Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 I can see the AC thing sorting it for me does the reg fixes work? :)
