Help! I've killed it!

I've had an SPV (tricolour screen: canary mv v0.98 ) for the last six months. Recently it stopped accessing the 256mb SD card where all my mp3's are stored, so I tried a hard reset.

The reset proccedure did not work with the sd card installed, so I removed it and tried to reset again. It entered the bootloader (canary diag v0.97) screen, it passed.

Now when ever I turn it on, It comes up with the message "press any key to enter bootloader" followed by the canary tri-screen v0.98

Anybody got any clue on how to get my phone back? ;)

Fixed it by reinstalling the orange update.

It still cant read the storage card though, I have tried 2 different SD cards and none work. HELP!

When you say not accessing I presume media player is not seeing the files?

That's right, media player doesn't see any of the sd cards and they dont show up in "my computer" under "mobile device" like it used to. I also tried to use "taskmanager" to reformat the cards, but it cant see them either! (all cards work perfectly in my digital camera)

I've also tried "usbterm". It sees the card but doesn't give me the option of formating it...

Apart from trying another Hard Reset first,

sounds like you may have a problem with the phone if Activsync

cannot see the card either :?

I presume the cards used to work ok?

I've tried several hard resets already. I used two of the sd cards frequently without much of a problem. The third sd card I tried on it was brand new. I am assuming it is a problem with the slot at the moment...

Dumb question, but is the little read only slider in the right poistion on the cards?

If that was the case you should still be able to access the card :?

Also another final thing to try is to re-run the update again.

Ran the update again and it came up with an installation error! It then reset the phone, eventually coming back to life. Still no storage card detected, everything else seems normal. I've run out of ideas (apart from putting it in the bin!)

If no cards at all now work on the phone then it's time to get a replacement by the sounds of it ;)
