Guest spoof31 Posted October 10, 2003 Report Posted October 10, 2003 Altough all my mp3's play on WMP and (stuttering) pocket Music, it doesn't play on PocketMPV. This is also the case when I want to play divx movies. It gives: Audio Error. The movies is encoded with Lame MP3 codec 32 kbit.
Guest alpha Posted October 10, 2003 Report Posted October 10, 2003 hey, buddy,my machine also, anybody can tell us why?
Guest goinnuts Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 had similar probs incompatable audio file, incompatable video file. i had to reinstall pocket mvp then reinstall pocket music both know work fine. movie audio needs to mpeg layer 3 11000mhz 2mb
Guest spoof31 Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 I have found out that the video file plays fine without sound. I've tried Lame mp3 codec and windows standard mp3 codec. Both failed. By the way I've Nimo codec pack installed. How about you guys?
Guest goinnuts Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 you need divx 5.0.3 codec, for a step by step guide do a search for pocketmvp, it is an execellent guide. helped me loads. mp3 should work any way and so does ogg vorbis files(hlf the size of mp3) on the last version pocket mvp
Guest siu99spj Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 The guide is here. (I should know, its my guide ) As for audio problems, I've never had any, but then I have only ever used Radiums codec (A 'tweaked' version of Fraunhofer's professional codec). As for bit-rates, its handled all types, from 320 all the way down to 56, with varying sample rates too. You only need to downcode the audio when its coupled with a video so you don't fry your PC by overtaxing it! But as ever, it helps if you download the latest version of PocketMVP as well (As my brother discovered).
Guest biffsmash Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Hi, I am trying to convert a futurama episode from one of my dvd' s, to a divx to play on me phone with pocketMVP. I copy the file to a divx avi file using a program called DVDx. The file is fine but the audio is encoded with lame and is slightly too high a bit rate making the file size too high, so I then put this avi into virtualdub, and change the audio to mp3 mono, 16000 or 11000 8 bit. the file plays in winamp on my pc with audio, but when i try to play the avi in pocketmvp it says three times that it needs to load a component that is not trusted, before it can play the clip. I say yes toi this three times, then it says on the screen "error in audio", and wont play the file :D I am trying to play the file on an SPV E200 and I have the latest version of pocketmvp and am using divx 5.0.2 Any help is appreciated, as I have followed the guides on this site as closely as I can and can't get it to work. edit: I have now tried with divx 5.0.3 and same problem, i'm considering forgetting pocketmvp altogether :D I can get the mpegs in pockettv to the same size, but the quality is a little lower, so I think I might just throw in the towel and return to using pockettv. edit: Ok i downloaded the pocketmvp fix cab for e200, and encoded using 5.0.3 divx and woohoo it works. I still have to reboot the phone after each vid to wATCH another, but i can at least use it. Problem solved :) thanks anyway Thanks
