and will people stop referring to the voq as ugly (especially in topic titles), thats your opinion, do not push it onto others

Photo of VOQ and HTC phone is not showing the E200 - the E200 has got a different cover design as seen in the picrture above..

The E200 is likely to have red LEDs I thought?

And the Voq - call a spade a spade... or is it more approriate to call it 'differently styled' or 'attractively challenged'?

It's political correctness gone mad I tell you!

I like the design of the VOQ. I also love the idea of the built in qwerty keyboard, this alone is better than bluetooth & a built in camera (I would certainly use it more), but i do think they could have made it a tad smaller..

i was more referring to the term ugly used in the title of the thread, not inside the threads, its just my feeling it shouldnt be used there ;)

Whenever I see the picture of the Voq with the keyboard open I am reminded of the Reapers from Blade 2.

REVOKE THE VOQ

We weren't exactly blown away when we Sierra Wireless announced their Voq cellphone running Microsoft's Smartphone operating system. Besides looking sorta cheap and not having Bluetooth or a built-in digital camera, after actually playing with one of the phones last week at Microsoft's Mobius conference (disclosure, Redmond covered our airfare and hotel) we also discovered that we weren't particularly impressed with the one feature of the phone that we thought we would like: its fold-out QWERTY keyboard. Upon closer inspection, the keyboard isn't very sturdy and lacks a backlight, which wouldn't be a big deal except that the keys are pretty hard to read, even in a relatively well-lit room. Apparently, we're not the only ones who feel that way; on his blog Om Malik posted an email from one of his readers trashing the phone and its design.
