Guest goinnuts Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 yes you asked for it now its happenning from nov 3rd 3mb will be £4 7mb£8, 15mb £28. or round that price. all you can eat £52 bundles dont run over though. also photo messaging to be reduced to 25p per message as long as its under 50kb. upto 100kb (mainly video messaging) 50p per message.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 That should save me some cash, no matter how hard i try i always seem to use 3 meg on my 2 meg tarrif. Is there any official announcemtn of these prices, and will my 2meg tarrif be automatically changed to the 3meg one?
Guest goinnuts Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 its in the nov bundles guide, unfortunalty you will have to change yourself, as like last time. there are more bundles but had a few beers and cant remember the all. will post actual prices and bundles tomorrow night. but them prices are quite acurrate. theres more bundles than this though. some include photo messages.
Guest Simon Desser Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 yes you asked for it now its happenning.....Cheers for the info :D. It's great that the prices are coming down, but, what lots of us "asked for" was a flat rate "Unlimited" (subject to fair usage policy) tariff, that didn't break the bank. I'd be happy to pay something like £15.00 a month for "all you can eat", but £52 is ridiculous  I've enjoyed 9 months of "Unlimited" GPRS for £6.00 a month, then 3 months "Unlimited" GPRS for FREE on the mobile email promotion, which is wonderful, but then Orange expect me to pay £52.00 a month to continue using GPRS at the level I've been used to for a year :?: Then of course there's the reliability issues :? Well... we've got an unlimited GPRS from T-Mobile here in US for $20 ;)

Just noticed that something can't be right :? (I know you've had a few beers ;) ) It can't be 7Mb for £8.00 and 15Mb for £28.00 :?:
Guest cyrilthefish Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 about time! i've so far used 4.7mb of my 4mb quota and i've still got 5 days left untill next month's quota  why does GPRS have to be so expensive! *cries*

Guest crafty Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Why would anyone get the new 3mb bundle for £4 when you could get that world access one for the same? Do you know if the out of bundle price is different for it?
Guest omar_g Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Have you ay idea of the new tariffs due in November? Or what will replace Square Deal?
Guest goinnuts Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 Q.Do you know if the out of bundle price is different for it? A.exactly the same. Q.Have you ay idea of the new tariffs due in November? Or what will replace Square Deal? A. No sorry mate.
Guest drblow Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Yaay!! That is a bit more reasonable anyways! I wonder how much of the decision to reduce prices has to do with consumer opinion/complaints - or just a timely decision by Orange to reduce their tariffs as more smartphones & networks start to enter the market?? :?: I wonder ...
Guest Will Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 world access and the other promos are wap only gprs!! (according to 156!)
Guest lowbug Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 I'm a little confused why Orange are offering unlimited access ( subject to AUP) on GPRS on the option cardphone, but £52 for a phone.... Have i missed something or are we still being ripped off? :)
Guest goinnuts Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 £52 is unlimited, £25 upto 100mb. vid messaging only available on e200, 6600, p900 so how can it only be for wap.
Guest lowbug Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 So we are still gettting ripped off then as i thought 30Mb costs £28, 4 pound more then the £25 - 100 Mb effort of the cardphone... Very poor Orange, If they can do it for a card phone then why not a data phone.... :)
Guest lowbug Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 I wonder if you can do a OVP against oranges own data plans... makes a mockery of it... lol
Guest Simon Desser Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 As of today (3rd November) the following tariffs are on the Orange Website. It's a step in the right direction, but no flat rate "unlimited use" package :cry:GPRS.gif
Guest Simon Desser Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I just rang O to get put on a new tariff, and they quoted me all the old ones, I told her about the new ones on their website, and she said their systems havn't been updated yet, try this afternoon :)

Guest comebackdx Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I spoke to Orange and they have the new tariffs, but the chap I spoke to said I would be better off with the Orange World Access Offer, 3MB GPRS 20 MMS 10 SMS for £4 - with the first month free. Brilliant!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Presumaby they arent intelligent enough to move you from your old tarrif to an equivelent new one?
Guest Will Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 is the world active wap gprs only? with charges for internet use? Will (now on bundle 15)..
