Chief operating officer Kevin Rollins said this week that the presence of Nokia would make handsets a difficult market to break into and that the sector is less attractive than other consumer devices because so much profit and balance of power goes to the mobile operators. The comments came against a background of a major push into the consumer market by Dell, with Rollins claiming he is after market share of 30-40% in the main sectors where the company will operate. Guest midnight Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 the thing is, it wouldnt actually be a dell handset anyway, its Wistron who make the Dell Axim, and they are the ones who created the Intel Prototype, so all is not lost just yet, all it needs is for someone to contact Wistron and get them to make the thing (well, that and a few million quid ;))
