mitac mio battery problem

I've just run into a really strange problem with one of the batterys delivered with my mio. I like to use 2 batteries when I am travelling so I don't always have to keep recharging. Well I charged up both batteries put one in and turned on the phone...no problem. Got on the plane and turned the phone off and when I reached my destination....the phone would not turn on. Took the battery off and put it back on, no luck. Tried the other battery and the phone turned on without a problem. So I put the pooched battery back in thinking that somehow it had got drained and plugged in the phone. Low and behold I could turn the phone back on and the battery was showing 93% charge! What the hey....unplugged the phone and it would not turn back on. Plugged it back in turned on the phone and then when I got back on the plane turned it to airplane mode. 5 hours later the danged thing had turned itself off again and would not turn back on. I am assuming the battery is toast......anyone else have this happen. Is Mitac passing off crappy batteries? Anyone know if there is somewhere you can order a replacement battery??
