Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit.....

With the imminent arrival of the SPV2 E200 with bluetooth I wondered if anyone had either installed or used one of these kits :?: .

Since the existing SPV car kit is a bag of bolts (no mute, wires all over the place :x ) this appears to be a feasable replacement.

The CK3000 states that it has an auto mute facility as well as in-built voice commands :) .

For more information see advert here or pdf here.

Any feedback would be of great assistance.

I have just received one and installed one today and its absolutely brilliant. I have also bought it to be used with new SPV but at the moment I am using an ericcson r520 on it.

Total voice recognition system dont have to even touch the phone at all. Set voice activation to start calls, who to call, then hang up all with voice without going no where near your handset. Coverage is about 10m.

I have had loads of car kits and had them all professionally installed but this one I did my self in under 30 mins. All cables come with ISO connnectors fitted which means they just plug direct into your existing stereo. Piece of Piss. It has full mute functionality and sound comes out front speakers. Volume is controlled by handset. Parrott functionality is accessed via another menu that appears when your connect to it on your phone. Car kit talks to you guide you through setup.

This is a must for everyone.......100% impressed the best car kit I have ever seen.

All voice recognition works everytime never prompts you to say again.

If any questions please reply

BUY IT BUY IT from www.expansys.com very reasonable

hi there

well i am using the cark112 from nokia which is bluetooth/voicedialling too. the question is: is there a reliable voicedialling software for the smartphone? otherwise you'll have to take the phone out of the pocket if you want to call someone.

i dont use voicedial when i use my phone as mobile but in my car i use a nokia for the bluetooth carkit and there i use voicedial to make calls. will i be able to do this with a e200??? as far as i understand the e200 bt will be usable for headset mode and active sync (brilliant, i will love that). so in gerneral it brings everything to work with the carkit- but no voicedial, or???

cheers, lutz

As far as I'm aware the kit has a utility that allows you to store 500 names and numbers in it - rather than using your phones contacts.

There is a mention of some sort of import utility to extract contacts from your phone to the CK3000 but not too sure if it will work with the E200 as it's not released yet.

Suppose it's a case of "Watch this space" - it sound a great piece of kit so I'll most likely get one.

A friend of mine has one of these that he's used since his early T68 days. It's a great piece of kit. The only issues he had was the synch with the phone (which is necessary for the voice dialling). It takes a whie to do it all and his lost it's DB accuracy a few times. Other issue was that driving along with him on a five minute journey we do every week it almost invariably gets confused with the voice dialling. This could be due to his keyword though and he claims it never does it any other times.

Even if the E200 has bluetooth however, it will have to support the handsfree profile (which many nokias don't for a start), so fingers crossed, if it does I'll have one of these on order the day I get my E200.

it will take 500 names etc, but this depends on phone. Everytime the kit connects to phone its synchronises phone book with CK3000. So therefore if your phone can take 500 names then so will parrott.

Hi there,

I am beginning to hear lots of rumours that this car kit is useless with the E200. Seemingly the manufacturer is investigating usage with SPV.

I have just ordered my E200 and I was wondering if anyone actually has this setup with E200 and whats it like???

Please let me know because I will cancel and buy another erricsson

Dean.

My aforementioned friend who has now got an E200 and a parrot CK3000 has resorted to using his T68 in the car for two reasons.

1) The Parrot cannot answer calls on the E200.

2) It's pretty unreliable at picking up the BT connection on outgoing calls

Now he's managed to get a car charger, the battery isn't as much a problem, but it used to be (and it's kinda ironic that he needs to plug the phone in in order to use his BT car kit isn't it?)
