SPV with >Hi Fi > TV > Video > Car Stereo

Is it possible to play or use the following with an SPV Smartphone

- a Hi Fi; TV; Video; Car Stereo?

Answer = YES.

What i have accomplished so far is the setup of spv with all of the above.

well nearly!

sound is accomplished but i cannot get a pic on my TV. i use the SPV adapter lead. i have a lead from my camcorder wich has stereo plugs output + a video ouput plug to plug into a tv/video. i connect the plug into the spv adaptors 3.5mm female. the plug from this lead splits into 3 plugs, 1 for video, 2 for stereo sound. i connect the tv or the video up with the 3 plugs, i play some mpeg file from pocket tv, i get sound but also a flickering blank picture on the tv screen. i've tried tuning? i am nearly there but not quite, what do i need to do to get a mpeg vid playing on my tv screen from my spv phone?

what i also want to do is take pics with the camera, but have the image on tv screen, as i move the spv around to take a pic i want to be able to see the same thing on my TV & see the picture taken on my Tv screen. is it possible?.

www.PC-Mobile.net sell the adaptor which is product code sp35a. This item IS CHEAP. it'll come from hong kong, but if you go to any MAPLINS in UK, they will provide a 2.5mm male into 3.5mm female STEREO adapter, the same thing but without the lead, it does exactly the same thing. it'll cost you 79p less than £1. this is what the important thing is about the adapter, IT MUST BE STEREO, to get stereo sound. the stereo adapter plugs into the spv with its male 2.5mm tip. on the opposite end of this adapter is the 3.5mm female. you can plug in any 3.5mm plug into this end, leading to any output unit you wish to play from your spv, it can virtually be any unit, any brand/make.

my car stereo works well with very good sound from the spv. mobi geeks web site have connected the spv to the car stereo head unit.

the zodiac phone has the sdio slot, does that mean that the sd slot in the spv can take the same sdio cards for the purpose of tv out, a camera, wireless, gps etc. if not would it not be a good idea for spv to advance upon!!

if its possible please advise me.

TV input from SPV..Are you joking ??

Realistically speaking though, there is a compact flash VGA adaptor for Pocket PC, called Presentation-to-Go. This lets u use a Pocket PC for presentations on a screen/monitor.

Its anbody's guess whether an SD card equivalent will be available for SPV !!

Wait untill 2003 is released but you still need the drivers to be written.

Noone actually mentioned that the 2.5mm socket on the spv is SOUND ONLY!!! no matter where you connect the three-color RCA cable, this only transmits sound and not video or the SPV's screen!!!

True, an SDIO card for video output might be the solution.

Sorry mate, but all you were doing is fooling around, you were hardly as close as you thought you are, finetune the tv! LOL :)

:) I should have read the post a bit better than just skipping over it, yep the connector is stereo and mic only.

haha lol

But I would be possible to to it with Motorola cuz there's a mini usb. And there are a lot of mini usb to RCA out there.

But wouldn't it be possible to, like connect a SPV usb connection to an adapter and from that adapter to a mini usb with RCA? haha just an idea....
