Help! i cant unlock my phone

Hi Im from philippines and im kinda wondering what happened to my SAP. I bought it second hand from a seller in one of the auctions in the internet. He had it open lined in greenhills for 800. i was using it for almost a month, one day my phone just run out of battery and automatically switched off. i charged it and turned it on. it said network denied. i joined this forum to get specific information in unlocking it. i followed the instructions on lifeetc.com. nothing happened. my bootloader version is 0.98. when i insert a new sin it dosent ask for any unlocking code and go's directly to network denied. i performed a hard reset and did the whole unlocking thing again. nothing happedned. can sombody help me. thanks.

first, have you tried two different sim cards when you bought ur phone?(when they told you that it was open lined, have u seen them unlocked ur unit?)..if u were only told that it was openline and never tried a different sim to check whether it was indeed unlocked, i guess you were just duped into believing their claim...

as far as i know, a network unlocked phone will not revert back to being locked again unless you upgraded your rom version, but in ur story, it was only a simple battery drain and lo and behold! it was locked again...

for simple start-up, check carefully the sim card insertion, then insert several sim cards...if indeed it only accepts one sim card, say smart, then search a how to unlock ur unit...gud luck

it would help your forum mates more if you can state what exactly you did when you tried to unlock it yourself...
