I can't believe no MSN messenger for a month or so... Unacceptable and not a very good coordination between whoever (MS and/or carriers) IMO... OK, done ranting...

Guest philipnorth Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I wonder who we should blame for this? coz MS said it week ago that from the 15th of Oct this cold happen. They say they have been working with Providers to solve this. Every other OS has had an update (pocket pc as well) So is it the providers fault? Any ppl with the Smart 1.6 rom who dont have problems perhaps?

Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I just managed to log on to Agile Messenger (freeware) and chat via MSN! I realize that Orange UK users might have problems with this... but it will probably work for other users! And there is a fix coming for Orange UK I believe ...

As for Agile... if only. I cant get anything out of it. IMov (from what I've seen) is kinda limited, so I'll just sit it our for a month.

Guest Xavier Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Ugh from: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/res...smartphone.mspx Updates for Orange SPV and SPV E100 Windows Mobile-based Smartphone customers will be made available directly from Orange. Unfortunately, this software update is not available at this time. Please visit the following Orange Web sites for the latest information on update availability. What is it with Orange missing their software deadlines?!? And they were the ones bitching at Sendo for doing the exact same thing two years ago
Guest hotphil Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Bet Agile are wishing they'd charged a quid or so for their Messenger...
Guest ayan2 Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 This shows how "serious" Microsoft is with the Smartphone. How they are "committed" to support the Smartphone Community and its users. They simply don't give a sh*t. They could have released a new version of Messenger for Smartphone first, and then go change the MSN service. But no, why should Microsoft care about a bunch of weirdos who selected a Microsoft Smartphone among the Nokia and Ericsson offers. The fools should have stuck to standards... How dissapointing... :)
Guest th0mz Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Posted from my SmartPhone! badword, this is starting to get annoying!! How f*king hard can it be to release a fix so that we're able to log in again! Damn. A few days wait is what you'd expect, but this is taking forever. I'm losing my faith in O and MS by the minute... Support and upgrades has been [way too] limited IMO. Hell, the SP has been out a year now, get yourself together MS and O, there's a lot of us out here waiting. Patience is the key I guess. Well, enough BS.
