Jabra Bluetooth problems - help please

I bought a vesion with speakeasy off ebay and waited patiently fo delivery.

Got it, looks good, charged both headset and base up.

Connected up to smartphone, followed instructions but fine tuning doesnt seem to do anything at all, and initially when I phoned someone using it all they could hear was a high pitched whistling, when I first called my answer machine I could very very faintly hear it. Volume control seems to make no difference. Now I cannot hear anything.

Do I need to do anything 'special' to make it work ?????

Some suggestions:

1) Make sure your headset is plugged in all the way.

2) Check your headset connection by plugging in and using your regular headset.

3) Try resetting your headset be re-establishing a partnership with the base. I don't remember how but it involved using the stylus that came with the headset. The instructions should have come with the headset. You may especially need to do this if the unit is second-hand. New units come already paired and should work fine out of the box. But you may have a replacement headset with a different base that may have never been paired.

If all of that doesnt work, you may have a defective headset and may want to consider a replacement.
