IRDA screen cannot be exited

When sending a contact via IRDA to a device that it can't send to, the Beam Screen cannot be terminated (All you can do is toggle the pend message to on/off). Unfortunately this has the side effect that you cannot then select 'contacts' as all it does is return you to the Failing Beam Screen. Re-Booting the phone is the only way to get out of this.

Anyone else had this problem?

I tried it, just pressed the back key and it returned to the contacts list fine

Same as Carnivor, it doesn't have an exit softkey or option, but I just press back or home.
