I disagree...

It's not like you HAVE to sign up is it!

The plus forum was chosen to release the first alpha, as it contains a reasonable number of users, with differing knowledge levels.

Once any issues are resolved, the app is planned to be available for sale TO ANYONE,

But will remain free to plus members, as a thank you for testing.

The idea of plus was I thought a 'premium' service, to get stuff before general release, and lots of other goodies.. and to support the forum.

That's stupid - It's not a monopoly, there are plenty of other sites and forums. This is the best IMO, and that's probably why we are both here.

I dont want to start a huge flame war or anything, but even I (who believes in the mythical "free internet") have subscribed to Plus. I haven't worked it out, but I think that I must have got at least 2 or 3 times the subscription cost back in discounts and freebies. And at the same time I've helped (in a small way) keep the forums going.

You don't have to subscribe, nobody is going to point and say "he didn't subscribe!", but you can't expect all the freebies and discounts just for showing up and taking up bandwidth.

Ranariz,

try www.monolithix.org for a telnet client.

Good luck getting it to work, I can't.

I think there's a basic VNC viewer out there somewhere isn't there guys?

The FTP client looks cool btw!
