Guest fcm Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 The new danish company www.3.dk has just advertised 3G-network possibilities in the biggist cities in Denmark. They are advertising for a special offer, in which you get the new motorola A920 and som crappy facilities. I was just wondering about whats up with the 3G-network in the UK.. Is it also possible in the big cities ? And which phones are able on the market ? Think Orange will advertise a 3G-phone based on the smartphone operating system within a year! -Clemme
Guest JabbaTheSlut Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 "Three", the current 3G provider in the UK has 3g coverage in most of the larger UK towns and cities, and along a lot of the major rail routes, and Orange will be doing 3 within a year I should think, which will be brilliant!
Guest frazzel Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 i am on three as well as orange, well in a few words 3g is crap so far I could go on check out www.3g.co.uk for more info but not at home so could not pass this on to u yet!! call drops poor batt life....... not impressed only good for voice calls as very cheap #!!
Guest cyrilthefish Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Personally, i will not be buying a 3G service untill there is a Smartphone available for it. Theres no point having a relatively high-bandwidth mobile internet connection if you have a handset that can't do anything interesting with it...
