Guest Coucou Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Here's a homescreen I've done. It's a modification of the standard Full homescreen that's very personal to me. The picture is of the beach/hotel where I had my honeymoon, but it's not a particularly good photo otherwise - I know that. The Hyperlinks and Richie's Alarm plug-in don't highlight the way the rest of the screen does, I was wondering if anyone could help me fix that, or if it's not possible to fix it. Let me know what you think - and remember it's heavily personalised to suit me, I'm not that bothered if you don't like it, so constructive criticism welcomed! EDIT: Don't be scared of downloading it just cos it's personal - I think people might like it, probably with another photo and maybe another colour scheme, and you'd probably want to change some of my links (for some reason not everyone supports Stockport County  ). Some xml knowledge would be handy if you want this for yourself. I'm not even advanced enough to skin extra screens. Comments from amateurs like me welcomed as much as from the pros.Zante homescreen.JPGZante.zip
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Sorry, my XML is still sub-beginner level, but "Tea @ mum & dads" - how cute is that?
Guest Coucou Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 If I forgot about that one I would be in trouble :)
Guest Richie M Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Moved out of Download into Discussion. Post in Download section are to be in the specified format as discribed here http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=94612 If you edit the post i will gladly move it back in for you :) thanks :(
Guest Coucou Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Ah, not sure I can put it into cab format, sorry. Do I need a program for that? And while you're taking an interest in the post, it's your alarm plug in, how can I get it to behave like any other part of the homescreen?

Guest Coucou Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 I'll post a screenshot sometime. The alarm plug-in looks different than the rest when selected. Even when using a standard colour scheme. Try it, i'm sure i'm using the latest version too. Is there a solution to this? Am I showing my lack of xml ability? :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Richie M Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Ah, i think you may be using the Alarm plug-in version i supplied with my Longhorn M5 theme (which did state its a special version). Click the link to the Alarm plug-in in my sig below, and go to the last page to download the latest version :)
Guest Coucou Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I'm using the right one now, it disappears when i select it now! What colour settings should i use? Can you post a bit of xml i could use? can't figure it out just by tinkering... Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Richie M Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 This is the code taken from the Alarm example <plugin clsid="{21800C38-E156-4423-B95D-EB0D75DB95D2}" name="alarmPlugin" height="40"> <background bgcolor="transparent" halign="center" valign = "center" l-border-width="0" t-border-width="0" r-border-width="0" b-border-width="1" l-border-color="transparent" t-border-color="transparent" r-border-color="transparent" b-border-color="#3182ce" /> <format state="unselected" fgcolor="#003D79" bgcolor="transparent" padding-left="4" padding-right="10" padding-top="5" padding-bottom="5" font-face="nina" font-size="14" font-style="normal" font-weight="700" x="120" y="5" w="22" h="22" halign="left" valign="center" /> <format state="selected" fgcolor="#FFFFFF" bgcolor="#2A2CC5" bgtext="#2A2CC5" padding-left="4" padding-right="10" padding-top="5" padding-bottom="5" font-face="nina" font-size="14" font-style="normal" font-weight="700" x="30" y="5" w="22" h="22" halign="left" valign="center" /> <text>Alarm:</text> </plugin>
Guest crafty Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Like the smilies on the message count 8) - otherwise a bit too hectic for me. Prefer my homescreens to bee a bit simpler. Unfortunately i'm clueless on xml so can't help there.
Guest Coucou Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Fair comment, I just like to do lots of stuff without going into programs menu, there's so much stuff in my programs menu that even with good organisation it takes ages to find stuff. Still having trouble with the colours on the highlight - it's a lot better now, but even when I set the colour to be the same on the alarm as everything else it changes somehow. The colour for both of these highlights is set to #80ff, so why is one blue and one green? I think I'm losing it... :?alarmhighlight.JPGhighlight.JPG
