Guest craigblade Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 I am at University and most of the PCs don't have a usb port. Is it possible to download and transfer any applications to my spv without having to connect the cradle to the pc (over the air if you know what i mean, like when you unlock your phone)? craig
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 If the files are .CAB, or .HME (for skins), you can just email them to your phone and run the file through an Explorer. Resco Explorer is what I use, but I think there's a freebie one available. Some apps (Agile Messenger for example) only come as PC-based installations - they need activesync to install to the phone. You dont have to use cable for activesync though - in theory you can sync over infrared. Never tried it myself, but it ought to work easy enough - you might need to initiate it from the phone.
Guest bikespod Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 i didn't have a pc until recently and went to Handango.com where you can download apps for a fee of course. they are sent direct to your phone and you just save them to your sd card and install. :) :(
