Guest urdone311 Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I haven't been using my smartphone for months since ATT gave me a bill of $2,000 USD...yeeeeeeeeOWCH!! Anyways the Motorola MPX200 is finally here in the U.S., is MSN messenger going to work on it? People are gonna be quite upset and this could be a big slap in the balls (ouch) for Microsoft if people can't use the software that is included on the phone. Did the MPX200 come with an updated version? I know theres Agile, yea yea yea- but i think people that want to use MSN Messenger want to use...well, MSN Messenger. Also, since the MPX200 is here in the U.S., people (just like ME!) are gonna be expecting AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) for their smartphones. This could be a BIG deciding factor among most Americans, because everyone over here uses AIM. And of course, once again, I know theres Agile, yea yea yea- but we want AIM. What do u guys think? :?:
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Having used both I think Agile is MUCH better, to the extent that I doubt I will go back to the built-in client.
Guest yoos Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Agile does seem pretty cool, but I still can't get AOL to work here in the US... My MSN and Yahoo work so maybe it's just me if others can get AOL to work...
Guest Cyberdim Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 The new Smartphones like E200 and MPX200 already have the updated MSN Messenger, so they are not effected by this blockage. Here is the statement from Microsoft page: "Orange SPV E200 and Motorola MPX200 Windows Mobile-based Smartphone customers are not affected by this MSN Messenger service change."
Guest nytehawk2002 Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I've been a smartphone user here in the US for a month or more now with an SPV. I have no problems with Agile logging into any service using T-Mobile GPRS. I don't use ICQ however so I can't vouch for that.
