OK so, I understand that the owner of msmobiles.com likes smartphone operated phones, but why is he trashing Sendo and their innovation?

 "Microsoft should sue Sendo for stealing technology! Why? Just look at this picture of the Sendo X smartphone:"

Sue? come on now. Microsoft doesn't have any rights on "The idea of having the front screen of a handheld device contain shortcuts to various applications on the phone", they own the "Today Screen" and the "Home Screen" applications/innovations or whatever you like to call them.

Maybe Motorola should sue the whole world for making soft buttons on their phones as they were the first to have two selection keys in their mobile phone software (I think, or was it Nokia).

 "Sendo was shortly cooperating with Microsoft but failed to deliver on time (too small engineering skills of Sendo engineers were the reason)"

This could very well be a LIE and get the editor of this article sued by Sendo as well!!! noone knows what really went on around the Z100 project and the real reason for it's cancellation!

 "and now it writes lies about being "first in the world" with this technology:

it is the first phone in the world to offer the revolutionary Sendo Now! screen"

What's a lie about that? they are the first. they invented "Sendo Now!".

 "Sendo is a third-tier cell phone vendor and it has no chances to achieve any significant market share"

Again a chance for Sendo to sue the editor.

 "Now it has become just a marketing engine for Nokia that is giving away (for peanuts) to Sendo not only Series 60"

So are Samsung and Siemens third-tier cell phone vendors??? they too are building Series 60 phones!!!

:!: What do you guys think?

When I first saw this phone, I thought to myself how great it was to take the BEST THING out of the smartphone 2002 OS, the one thing Symbian Series 60 doesn't have, and include it in a phone with AMAZING hardware!!!

But don't you think this article is a way too harsh?

I'd like to hear your opinions on my writings.

msmobiles isn't known for his balanced opinions, or even thinking things through.

It's a shame because some of the news on his site is good, but he lets it all down by his rabid anti-anything-that-isnt-Windows-Smartphone attitude. I prefer to get a balanced view from news sources, and then make up my own mind.

I'm sure Sendo will leave him alone, any publicity would only encourage him.

Don't dwell on it, he'll be back with more flame-baiting posts soon enough, just try to move on and enjoy the rest of the day :)

I HAVE been reading every piece on msmobiles.com for the last month-month and a half, and I have NEVER seen such an ugly article.

It really is a shame, msmobiles.com had some great coverage on the ITU Telecom convension, I enjoyed it almost as if I was there. too bad the editor lost all the respect I held for him as soon as he published this article (well I'm sure he won't care alot  ).

I found it... amuzing, among other things.

Don't forget msmobiles.com also supplied some nice pictures, and Gates' speech which I found very interesting, especially the part about SPV users' rising ARPU.

And besides... I didn't see any other site that had all that coverage from the convention.

All,

I have to disagree with your comments about msmobiles.

He is a well balanced chap; after all he has a chip on both shoulders! ;) :( :) :)
