Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 The first ever Smartphone category Best Software Awards has been judged, moderated, tie broken and now finally the winners have been announced! Guest Simon Desser Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Mmm...some interesting results  No disrespect to Resco, but how they can "beat" Binarys in both File Management and Task Management categories is beyond me :?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Yeah, i was a bit miffed at some of the results too. However i can assure you the judging process is completely fair and there is no way of knowing what place an app currently holds when you place your votes. Overall though i think the awards pretty much went to the right people, and it's a ~great~ boost for Smartphone and the software developers marketing.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 I would agree with almost all the winners (but not quite...) P
Guest Maverick Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Well.. Atleast Binarys is gonna get $13 from me :-). I finally registered both Task Manager and File explorer, after nearly a year of using them ;-).
Guest Crispy Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 No disrespect to Resco, but how they can "beat" Binarys in both File Management and Task Management categories is beyond me :? Ya, some of them are a bit strange, but overall I pretty much agree :)
Guest Gorskar Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 hey maverick, don't you get a free task manager licence when you register smart-explorer if you are a modaco plus member? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 Believe it or not, I had never heard of Resco before the awards ? Still, Im glad they take place, it sets the stage for the companies and individual developers to better their software for next year, which can only be good for us ! Roll on 2004 :)
