Guest smartfone Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 I use MPlayer on a Smartphone 2002 and it displays that it cannot play MP3 format. It seems that it can only play wma or wmv. Why? Is it the size of my mp3 file to large? The sizes of samples I tried are between 2 to 3 MB.
Guest Charlie Mouse Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Media player cannot play MP3's. It doesn't have the codecs for it.
Guest ranzz Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Umm, yes it can... I do it all the time. But I have no idea what's the problem in this case.
Guest Simon Desser Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Media player cannot play MP3's. It doesn't have the codecs for it. Are you talking about the built in "Windows Media" player :?: If so, it plays mp3's no problem :? The only time I ever remember having problems with mp3's are if they're "variable bit rates" not "Constant bit rates" :?:
Guest Taoski Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 I agree - MP3 works a-ok. It could be a corrupted file. When you say "samples" - what do you mean exactly? What are the files?
Guest Charlie Mouse Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 my mistake, didn't really think before posting the reply, sorry :-)
