Guest chucky.egg Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 I've loaded VB.NET and the WM2003 SDK, but I'm struggling to get started with it. The samples that come with the SDK all appear to be C examples - is it just me being dense, or are there no VB samples? Has anyone got a "hello world" in VB.NET that I can have to start learning?
Guest Peter Foot Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 There are a number of samples here in both VB and C# http://samples.gotdotnet.com/quickstart/Co...mpactFramework/ Also Devbuzz mainly concentrate on VB http://www.devbuzz.com/content/init_compac...t_framework.asp You'll find quite a bit of code in VB on our forums at http://www.opennetcf.org/Forums/ Currently most of our published samples are in C# however we hope to balance this out as time goes on. http://www.opennetcf.org/samples.asp Peter
Guest NeilC_MVP Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 Actually, Visual Studio .NET 2003 installs a number of sample applications in VB and C# for you. If you look in %Program Files%Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003CompactFrameworkSDKv1.0.5000Windows CESamples you will see what I mean.
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 Thanks guys, I'll check them out!
