Guest bikespod Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 A few questions for anyone who can help. I've finally unlocked my phone, and managed to dowmload the reload homescreen, nice. BUT also downloaded monolithix's pocket candy, ringtone package and i can't seem to get access to the ringtones, how do i do this, thru the explorer via active sync???? nor can i get pocket candy to install, i'm sure it tried to auto install before i knew about unlocking. :? :)
Guest drblow Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 Em... not sure about the ringtones  ... but when you say you can't access them, have you copied the files to your phone? If so, where did you put them & what way are you trying to access them? As for pocket candy, from memory I ran a setup.exe from the PC, which installed it OK. I think you may have to specify install to phone (as opposed to storage card). It just runs in the background, but if it does install properly there will be a couple of pocketcandy icons in your accessories folder (I think! ). Have you tried settings>remove programs to uninstall pocketcandy & reinstall it?
Guest bikespod Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 i've definitely got the ringtone packages on the phone, intallation wizard saw to that. i put them on the sd card, and thought i'd be able to access using the sounds section in the settings folder, but no. do i need another prog to use them? I thought pocket candy self installed too, i must have done somethind differently. do i unzip and then copy onto phone/sd card using a browser thru active sync otherwise :?: :?
Guest bikespod Posted October 25, 2003 Report Posted October 25, 2003 Its ok got ring tones sorted. used file explorer, opened and then saved to sounds. i'll have to keep trying on pocket candy, i'm obviously missing something basic and obvious. i'm a tad of a techno muppet. thanks for your help drB. any pointers on the question in last post still welcome tho.
