Guest drblow Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 I'm running version 3.7.1 - which I think is the latest version available from MS site - & it's SOOOOOOO BAAAAAAAAAD!! On a test 10 mins ago it failed to synchronise 7 out of 10 times. :) Is this common? Anybody have any great chants / mantras that make it work?? I've tried reinstalling it with no improvement. It just sucks!
Guest morpheus2702 Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Hmm, the first couple of days with 3.7.1 were distinctly ropey - but seems to be OK now. Can't say it is any more reliable though.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 On a PPC...it was 100% more reliable.

It just sucks! I've been using it for the Pocket PC and it works 100% even for remote ActiveSync. With the Smartphone... I'm using the PPCW.Net i-Mate ROM and is seems to work too. What are the results yu've been getting? And what ROM version are you using with your Smartphone? With my old 1.5.0.28 ROM it was a headache... with the 1.50.8.6 I have no problems. Mabuhay! ~ Carlo
Guest drblow Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I'm on Orange ROM 1.5.0.29 on E100. Not planning on changing ROM until O release the 1.6 build. So if nothing else, I'll just deal with how crap it is until then!!
Guest cyrilthefish Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 I found the 3.7.1 version of active sync to be completely unreliable like you found untill i formatted and re-installed XP on my PC for some completey unrelated reason... Now 3.7.1 activesync is working absolutely faultlessly, hasn't had a single problem yet
Guest drblow Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 Mmm... I love Microsoft products! Oxymoron - Microsoft Works.
