sd card formating

I wanted to delete a movie i had on the sd card (watched it great by the way, it was a friends episode).

Anyway, i deleted it from the active sync menu on the PC and it came up with an error message (PS the sd wasn't locked). Anyway, it removed the icon from the folder. I checked on the phone using smart explorer and sure enough the file icon is gone. BUT having checked the memory status, the file is still there because the memory amount didn't change after the delete (trust me it was a huge file). Now because there is no icon, and I can't find the file, how do i get ri od it?

I tried formatting the card using task manager but end up with an error saying "error while formatting card"

You could try formatting by using a card reader

if you have one :?

If y6ou are transfering large files a card reader is a must.
