Guest cleandemon Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 I'm a relatively new SPVE100 owner and I need to get a decent (and cheap) setup for in the car, plus I'm thinking of getting a better case for the phone (especially after one of my friends dropped the phone while it was in the standard case and it suffered some cosmetic damage), so I was considering getting the Krusell case together with the car attachment as shown on this page. Has anyone used this system? If so, I would love some feedback. I need to be able to plug in the car charger as well, so I presume this will fit through the case. Also, if anyone has used any other in car holders that they could recommend please let me know.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Nice case and worth getting :) As far as I'm aware the case is designed for the phone so any sockets etc will have the relevent cutouts.
Guest cleandemon Posted October 27, 2003 Report Posted October 27, 2003 Any idea about the car holder thingy at the bottom of the page? I'm not sure I like the look of that screw. I can foresee untold damage being wrought to the dashboard of my car if I try and fit that.
Guest mindracing Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 The case is excellent. Best fitting phone case I've ever had. really tight but once on it fits beautifully. The car holder I have also used but with an iPOD. It is really just a hook and you wouldn't need to screw it as the adhesive is strong enough. It doesn't hold the phone/iPOD rigid enough to be able to use 1 finger to press the buttons though. Just consider it a hook and if you buy you won't be dissapointed. If you're looking for a phone mount then this is not the one to buy. I have the full hands free kit whick is excellent. If you get the right contract with Orange you can get it for £45.
Guest cleandemon Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Ok, thanks for the comments. I've ordered the case and car clip now, so I'll see if it does the trick. If not, I'll try something else as it's only £4.99.
Guest cleandemon Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 Well I ordered the Krusell case which is ok if a little too reminscent of those horrid supercheap cases you get with Nokias. But the car clip will simply not stick to my dashboard and I'm not about to start drilling holes in it so I need another solution. Can anyone recommend a cradle type car holder for the E100 that will still allow me to plug in the charger?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 If you want a cheap holder go to BP petrol station and fill up your car with £20 then you cabn buy a handsfree kit for £4.99  simple kit but the holder clips to the vent and hold the phone well with access to charge the phone is you want.

Dashboards are nototirous for being contaminated with silicone. I always use a spirit wipe to make sure it's completely free of any silicone or grease before sticking. When I removed mine it was stuck like s**t to a blanket. Problem is, once you've tried to stick it and it fails that's it!
