Guest sunbearpcs Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 I have difficult to install the new version of ActiveSync on my desktop computer. I have uninstalled my old ActiveSync one week ago, and I got a new smartphone and try to install the new version of ActiveSync again, but everytime when I click the setup file of ActiveSync, nothing will come up, it won't even come up a message or ask me for next step. Do anybody know why this happen and how can I fix this problem ? Thank you very very very much ... ~Sunbearpcs :)
Guest azamsaghir Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 My experience was exactly the same as yours. Ended up installing ActiveSynch 3.6 back onto the PC. Rgds Azam

Guest ricalton Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 I've had the same issue. I had to install ActiveSync 3.x from my SmartPhone product install CD, then update to 3.7.1. However, now I've got a new XP at work, and no CD (it's at home), and I can't get the darn thing to install. Have tried 3.7.1 and 3.5 downloads. Copies files, but the setup routine (Installshield?) never launches. Admin privs are all as required.
Guest ricalton Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Solution found:  Make sure your smartphone is not connected to the PC; reboot your computer (to make sure setup is not running/hung); then install ActiveSync.
