Guest mattscholey Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Hi, Did a search and was surprised that I couldn't find a post where this has been discussed before, because everyone was a newbie (and asking this) at one point. I've had my smartphone for 3 months now, and would like to start making my own homescreens/themes. I've looked at WYSIWYG type editors, but I feel that these are too restrictive in what you can do, so I would like to learn how to do them the 'proper way'. I understand this means programming it in XML. Where can I find a newbie guide to making homescreens in XML? How did you learn to do it? Many thanks, Matt

Guest zeta101 Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 also look at other peoples xml code, play around change stuff and see if it does what u expect, its pretty intuitive and straightforward. You dont have to write a xml file from scatch really, u can just take a standard home screen and change everything u want...goodluck
