Cant anyone make an application that plays a .mid or .mod file instead of that crappy standard midi-synth. it shouldnt be so hard... if you can do an application that shows a picture when someone calls, you can do this. Right? I Need small files that sound good instead of crappy wav files sucking up all my memory, I dont like "changer sonneries" or what ever its called.

It is unlikely that any such utils will come out, since most users are happy using wav files as ringtones. Also there may be hardware/OS issues in handling advanced MIDI formats.

I dont see why it would be hard to make, Theres a demo called sprtest.exe, wich plays a mod file. so there shouldnt be a hardware issue right? im thinking of a prog that plays a mod/mid file when the phone rings. like the prog that shows a picture of the person calling...
