Guest jonathaneross Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I just purchased a long awaited MPx200 from AT&T. The CD has 2 additional apps that I would like to install. One is a system info type utility and one is an additional game. I have a 64mb SD card in the phone that I can download and play MP3s fine with. Activesync (3.7) also works fine in synching to Outlook. Activesync goes through the app install routine and nothing happens on the phone side. Activesync also won't let me select the SD card to override the default install location. The CD only has the .exe files for the apps. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Guest smittyofdhs Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 AS works differently with smartphone then it did with PPC. Once you install the ap from AS, you have to open the phone, and continue from there. That's where you'll get the option to install to phone or storage card.
Guest jonathaneross Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 Thanks! I didn't realize a message was flashing by on the phone screen and then disappearing. I finally figured out it was downloading a .cab file to an App directory that I then needed to run using the file manager!
