MPx200 V.S. SPV

Yesterday a friend of mine purchased a MPx200 on AT&T USA's network. He brought it over to show off and I kind of broke his heart when he found out I had one already. (I own a rogue SPV)

Here's some interesting points of interest.

The MPx200 is not App Locked. I was able to download and install many files on his phone without the need for app De-Certing. The screen has a much brighter display than the SPV.... any chance for a h/w hack to fix that? :-)

The phone comes with some IA apps already installed.

The biggest shock I had was that the connector on the bottom is not an XDA connection, it looks more firewire-ish but it's USB (Micro USB?).

Just some news from the front.

That's a USB connection. The same as in most digital video cameras and still camera...I believe.

Not really, the newer smartphones have better technology screens, and thats a hardware upgrade not a software one

Nice to see that smartphones are finally starting to appear around america though

I remember when i was on holiday to florida in 2001: someone from an an american mobile phone shop tried to sell me an american phone, i showed him my Siemens SL45i (at the time one of the highest-end phones you could buy) he spent the next 15 mins trying to buy my phone off me :(

I have that happen a lot, when i went on holiday to Egypt early this year i had no less than 3 different Egyptian people try to buy my SPV :)

It will be a USB 2 to connect one of these cables:
