Updating you phone - Advice for when it goes wrong

Hi

Just some friendly advice for people thinking of updating the software on there phone is

before you start reboot your pc, and don't start loads of apps.

and as the mods say when ever an update comes out - "if its not for your phone dont do it"

We can't magicly fix broken updates for you.

If you have done an update and it has gone wrong the top tips seem to be

If its not from you operator don't download it and don't install it.

if you get error 103 or 104 try (in this order)

reboot your pc

delete the update installed files from your pc "C:Program FilesRUU"

reboot the phone and get to the canary screen

run the update again.

but if you have already done an update and its gone wrong you know this already

Also firewalls can do strange things as well so disable it to play safe :)
