Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 I stopped by BestBuy (US electronics mega-store) just to see the Motorola today. There was none on display but the clerk let me play with his personal phone. ...and I have to say it was nice. A bit plasticy feeling...but nice rich & bright screen, comfortable buttons. This size is TINY (You have to hold it to believe it)...no antenna...but not so small where it feels cheap. It still feels well made. The outer black plastic is glossy and easily smudged which is always a pet peeve of mine...I hate that. I'd rather it had a matte textured finish or even a metalic finsh that wouldnt show the fingerprints as well. But I'm actually thinking about changing carriers again! Verizon has 2 weeks to get moving or I'm off to ATT! (TMobile will never get my business again!)
Guest yoos Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 What's up with Cingular? Don't they have GSM? I wonder how their coverage is... The MPx200 does look and feel like a nice phone. I really want the bluetooth and WM2003 though so I'm going to try my darndest to get an E200.
Guest Nikhil Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 I can't wait for my MPx200 to arrive...it will be here tomorrow morning! Then I need to wait for the unlock service so I can pop my T-Mobile SIM from my SPV...I can bet the buttons and screen are amazing in comparison to the original SPV that I have. Anyone know if the PC-Mobile adapter works for the MPx200?
Guest Myke Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 i might have contemplated getting the MPx200 if it had a mini screen on the outside to view caller id photos and wm2003 and 200mhz and bluetooth and a built in camera... :- P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 If it helps....it has the little LCD screen to view Caller ID info and time.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 There echo exactly my thoughts on seeing the Moto for the first time. Great size, fantastic build, and speedy solid software. The Piano black finish would drive me nuts, and the lack of features compared to the e200 is unfortunate, but I await Moto's next smartphone with interest! I will be getting one of these for my wife - she's resisted smartphones up to now - but the handbag friendly Moto together with the fantastic Exchange syncing have finally won her over!
