AT&T MPx200 ALERT SCREEN

In all their wisdom, ATTWS customized all the prompts and alerts with their own images. I would like to get the original alert image back.

1. Can someone please post the image? (the file is windowsalert_h20mark.gif)

2. Can I just copy the above image to the IPSMWindows directory and it will override the one in phone flash?

3. If the answer is no for #2, can I regedit to fix the location of the file?

Hi smittyofdhs

Have a look at the modifications posted by nickp in this topic  :)  http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=94964

Yeah I saw that eariler.

After spending some more time on the issue, I found that I could do it with a few simple modifications to the registry. The problem is that I need the original GIF files from another phone such as the SPV. The files needed are:

alert_h20mark.gif

error_h20mark.gif

incoming_h20mark.gif

information_h20mark.gif

question_h20mark.gif

The above files are located in the Windows directory. If some one could please copy them from their smartphone (other then a Mpx200 bt AWS)and post here, that would be great.

I dont believe they are the same file names on the SPV.

Drop the h20mark and they were the names on the SPV.

The SPVs screens were of a yellowish tint on the graphic if I remember right.

I thing the QTeks are the same graphic but with a blueish tint.

I don't have either....but someone may be able to help you.

MOVED TO HELP AND ADVICE. :)

Bugged the crap out of me too. I had a gray theme but that fruity blue screens :(

but.... :)

The original graphic is still there You'll have to regedit to get it

HIKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Rai

:ErrorBox (used for error messages)

:ExclamationBox (warning messages)

:InformationBox (information screens)

:QuestionBox (when a question is asked)

Just change the BKBitMapFile value to info.gif to get the giant I bubble in the lower right corner and no [!] alert intruding on the message text.
