Guest ranzz Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 The problem is as follows: I connect the phone to the cradle, do my thing, work for a few minutes and also use the Remote Display Control software and stuff.. anyway, at some point - which I've yet to discover when, most of the keys on the phone + keyboard (via RDC) just don't work, I'm losing the softkeys but my number keys and send/end/home/back still work, but i.e in task manager the * and # don't work! It's a weird problem I can't really understand! anyway the only way to solve it is to take out the battery, cause I'm also losing the power button! Has anyone ever came accross something like that and can help? cause I'm really lost in this one, got EVERYTHING working great at last, no problems at all and SPV running at full throttle. except for this annoying probby. :oops: [Edit: forgot to mention that the situation doesn't change if I take the phone out of the cradle.]

Guest ranzz Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 I don't think it has to do with the apps running, actually - I'm a big fan of quickclose and I use it before I connect the phone to the cradle. As I said, it happened about 3 times but didn't happen since. right now is the second time I'm using remote display and so far so good, last time nothing happened also, and I did exactly what I did the other times when it did get stuck, all I do is sync and use the remote display in order to type sms/mms on the computer's keyboard instead of the SPV's keypad. As of now I still have no idea what caused the problem, I don't know whether to hope it doesn't happen again or to hope it does happen again so I can find the problem. :)

I REALLY don't want to hard reset again as I only just finished putting everything togather for the first time in the month and a half I've had the phone. if anyone has ANY suggestions whatsoever, even the craziest idea of why this happened, please don't be afraid to post. thanks.
