Guest Nikhil Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 To the developer of PocketMVP, the player plays flawlessly on the MPx200 (and at great framerates/quality with the 200MHz processor)...however, the backlight function doesn't work (meaning that even if the option is checked, the backlight shuts off-the program still does change the backlight-off time under the Power Management settings). Any chance of a fix for this? Hopefully it's not a major one. I'm willing to test- [email protected]
Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Did you try contacting the PocketTV folks? They are very accessable.
Guest Nikhil Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 The problem I'm experiencing is with PocketMVP, not PocketTV.
Guest malloc Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Sorry for the delay, I just saw this thread... Unfortunatly the backlight function in PocketMvp was a hack, because there's no API nor documented way to set the light on. So what I do in PocketMvp is set the registry value for the backlight delay with a big value, and resetting it on exit, there was no other good way of doing it... But they probably changed the way the OS react to this registry value in your phone. And since I don't have a MPx200, I can't search a way to hack this. But if somebody finds a way to leave the MPx200 backlight on (**Hint** maybe somewhere in the registry??), I would be happy to add the hack in PocketMVP asap :) malloc
