AT&T MPx200 GPRS/MMS in another networks

to all:

I can bay AT&T Motorola MPx200 in USA, but I want use it in Russia. If I unlock (sim-lock) it, can I use it with local prividers? Can I change GPRS, MMS and another network settings for non AT&T? I know what some phones has operator flex and settings are blocked. What about MPx200?

You should be free to use it anywhere if it is SIM Unlocked.

and one more question, is it support 900/1800/1900 band, or only 1800/1900 ?

Since it's due to be released in the UK very soon, I assume the US is using the same version of the phone and therefor it is probably all three bands.

The US version is 1800/1900. The one sold outside US has the extra band.

somebody know 900 band firmware locked or it is hardware absence? and can I upgrade american 1800/1900 to 900/1800/1900 ?

BTW...I was corrected on another thread. I cant believe they would make 2 different versions of the same phone nor why they would choose to exclude the phone for use by subscribers when traveling overseas. Wierd!

it says what: "There's also a "preferred band" option, which has been moved and changed from "Settings->Telephony" previously, and allows you to control which is your favourite network band - either 900/1800, 1900 or "Auto". "

Is it true ? As I know UK version is not relised yet. May be American version support 900 band ?
