Guest benjaminjames Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Would love to have the ability to send and receive MMS messages but ATT chose to leave this out of the motorola product. Is there any place that I can get a copy or buy one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Guest sebset Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 It is really a scandal that AT&T decide to omit the MMS client.... while Orange UK decides to include this feature in the MPx200. But probably AT&T doesn't believe in MMS :?
Guest benjaminjames Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I agree that it is a scandal too but they must believe in MMS as they support it foir many other phones. I just can't believe there is no place to buy an MMS client anywhere on the internet.
Guest kingdom master Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 if it can be extracted from uk model il do it 4 u, as im testing one 4 a mobile magazine at the moment. tom Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest martin Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I think the present MMS software comes from www.ezos.com and www.jataayusoft.com neither of which seem to offer a separate download of MMS for the smartphone. It is possible that their software is tied in with the phone manufacturers or network providers under licence ? The good news is that Smartphone 2003 gives MMS as part of the OS so maybe that will be a solution for the AT&T MPX200 in the future. It could be that MMS was left out for exactly this reason. Why purchase a direct MMS software licence when MMS is part of an upcoming OS upgrade. It's purely speculation but it doesn't make sense for a company that makes money from its MMS service to leave out the MMS software in its phones. There must be a good (and probably financial) reason for doing so.
