Guest Simon Desser Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 If you were previously on the £6.00 "Unlimited" SPV promotion, and then you went on the "free" Mobile email 3 month promotion which ended on 30th October, it's worth checking with Orange that you're NOT now on PAYG GPRS :?: It seems that I would have been, had I not just chosen one of the new bundles released today. We were always told that we would automatically get put on an a tariff costing no more than the £6.00 SPV promotion, but it seems that in my case, I would have been on Pay As You Go? It's understandable, 'cos I've had 3 months "free" in between, but if you don't want to be on PAYG, it's worth a phone call?
Guest phdutton Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I was on that after the mobile e-mail pack. Got charged £5.50 for half a meg! Phoned them, and they said I should have been put on the 2MB pack automatically, and i told them I got a text saying I was going to be put on to it auto. I have been now, and they are sending my bill for 'examination' to get the dosh back.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Checking with OCS, GPRS1 bundle no longer exists - now GPRS3 - £4 for 3Mb. Free WAP promotion runs until the end of November.
Guest PsychoDave Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Cheers for the tip Simon. Call OCS and was informed that even though I had been on the email promo I was still being charged for GPRS that'll teach me to check my bills  If you hadn't posted that I would have paid for 3 months GPRS that I was gettin for free. Legendary customer service as always :) Cheers

I just phoned them and was told that I was on payg even tho I received an email saying I was auto transferred to another bundle.
