Guest Adzman Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 My phone keeps start in the boot loader. I've gone into the menu to do a hard reset but when the phone restarts it just goes into the same "Card Found", "Bootloader blah blah blah". Orange aren't being very helpful, anyone ideas?
Guest martin Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 What happens if you you remove your SD card and reboot ?
Guest Adzman Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Exactly the same except it doesn't say Card Found! I've got into the menu and done the Erase IPSM but nothing changes!
Guest martin Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 It would say that WINCE is not happy :) Restoring the ROM software would be a solution for many people here but this is not recommended if you have bought your phone recently and have phone insurance. The 1.5 ROM software for for the E100 is not available anyway. Do you have Orange care.
Guest Adzman Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I've been in touch with them, but they have to go through their technical support, which can take up to 72 hours. They seem convinced that all it'll take is a few button clicks to sort it out but I'm not so sure that's why I posted on here to find out if anyone knew of such a thing. Thanks for your help.
Guest martin Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Tell Orange CS that you spoke to MoDaCo :) They love MoDaCo I suspect that Orange Tech Support need to be involved before a replacement can be given. You could try calling OCS again and telling them that you ABSOLUTELY need your phone and push to speak to Tech Support directly but you may not have any luck.
Guest Adzman Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I'll give it a go, we did have quite a heated discussion this morning. I'll try the modaco option though see if that has any sway. Thanks.
Guest midnight Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 this can either be your os is screwed (fixed by running the update) or your record button is simply stuck in if its the record button then you could try jiggling it about a bit to try and free it (oo-er) if its the os that screwed and its an spv or very early e100 (green keypad lights) then you can get the Orange Update if its a more recent e100 then its a little trickier, as you would probably need the [url-http://www.imate.com]imate 1.5 upgrade to fix it and then manually input all your gprs/wap/mms settings
