Multiple messages...

Hi, sorry if this has come up before - did a quick search, didn't come up with anything :?

My phone bill was a bit higher (I'm a student, so "a bit" is actually a few quid!!) this month, and on further inspection of my bill it seemed to claim that every once in a while I would send three or four messages in one minute. This seems to coincide with times I've sent messages to people and they've received them in three or four bits. Anyone got any ideas? I mainly use Orneta Notepad to send txts but haven't had a problem before, and I presume if I ring OCS they'll tell me I'm not using my phone properly :roll: .

What is happening is you are sending long messages, an SMS can only

contain upto 160 characters, any longer and it will be broken up into 160 character pieces.

So for each part of the message that get sent you will be charged for it at the standard rate.

Unfortunately not :cry:

the whole reason I use orneta notepad is for the character counter, so I know that I don't go over 160 chars... when people get my txts in bits, each bit is only a few words long :roll:

My be an idea to email Orneta and your service provider, because for whatever reason, what I posted above is still happening as far as the

network is concerened.
