Guest Simon Desser Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Thanks to Martin for spotting the price drop :) don't forget you can get 15% off as well by putting "smartphone" in the promotional code box :( I've had a little play with the games, the graphics are "ok" They're almost identical in the way they play and look, Jeopardy's questions and topics seem VERY American, but I've not really looked at many of them. A slightly annoying thing, is that the backlight goes out JUST before the crucial bit every time you spin the wheel etc. I know I could alter my backlight settings but I shouldn't have to everytime I play these games :? But the really annoying thing is that I can't seem to stop the games from running :twisted: I might have missed it, but I can't find a way out of them, the only option I've got is to hit "Home" and quit the game with a Task Manager :twisted: otherwise everytime you press the back button it's there, churning away :roll: In fact I just tried going from one game to the other WITHOUT killing it first, and now my phones frozen :twisted: Oh yeah, to top it all off, when you register the games it say something like "Thank you for trying Wheel of Fortune for Pocket PC :!: I just find it annoying that they can't even be arsed changing the text to Smartphone :lol: I'll have another play later and post my thoughts :D EDIT:- I just had a quick go of Jeopardy after a fresh reboot, and my phone won't function at all, it's a battery off job :twisted: I'll keep trying but if it keeps doing this I'll be asking Handango for my money back :shock: :!:
Guest Simon Desser Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Quick update, I've re-installed both these games and they now don't seem to freeze my phone :) However, the game still running in the background is rather annoying. Last night I didn't quit it with a Task Manager on one of my phones, and this morning my battery was almost dead! This was after about 7 hours on a fully charged phone! Posted from my SmartPhone!
