Guest TenTwelve Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I recently saw an app on another site that lets you play wavs as ringers while stored on an SD card. I've been doing this on my MPx200 without the app by just placing the wav on the card, creating a short-cut to the wav, then placing the short-cut in IPSM/Application Data/Sounds folder. They all show up right where my other ones do. Is this sometihng that cannot be done on an SPV?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Not on ealier versions, also are you sure you have to place a shortcut? as newer updates (Qtek, I-Mate etc) can have ringtones straight from the SD card.

QTek and I mate are programs? I'm not currently using any program to use them. :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Not quite :) Qtek etc are OS updates from specific operators. with these OS versions you do not need to make a shortcut for the ringtone, so i amsurprised you would need to on yours :?
Guest Richie M Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Yep any 1.5 ROM or above allows ringtones on the SD Card :)
Guest TenTwelve Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I see.... Well I'll have to try it out. :)
