Guest gglaspi Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Hi, I have been developping a very simple prog but very usefull (at least for me :)) More & more of you are developing very nice home screens..... There are now so many that I like, that i don't witch one to choose :!: Lets use the Home switcher  Each time you boot you smartphone, you get a random home screen from the one you installed. You can try home switcher 1.0  GGLaspiHome Switcher.cab
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Fantastic idea :) :?: I presume it just changes the background image, so where does it pick them up from ? Do they have to be in IPSM/App.Data/Home or is there a Storage Card option ?
Guest gglaspi Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 It goes thru all the home.xml files. In the App dat/home folder then. GGLaspi
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 This is neat! What about an option to install the CAB or HME when a screen is loaded (and remove the old one) so that we can keep the files on SD rather than on the phone itself.
Guest Gorskar Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Nice idea! - how about an option to change the homescreen automatically every 2 hours or so though, as I dont reboot my phone all that often.
Guest Brody Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Hmm, some homescreens with extra screens require a reboot though! This means that every two hours you would need to reboot the phone. This is also a problem with the original tool in that when u run the new homescreen you have to restart but when you restart it changes the screen again and so on... maybe a non-changing restart should be possible after choosing a homescreen with extra screens?
