Help for a new user Syncing

Hello,

Can anyone offer me any advice, I set up my new SPV E100 as per guide and all worked fine, had done several Activesync's again all fine and no problems.

It now seems that overnight there is a problem Syncing and I keep getting a message saying "1 unresolved item" on the inbox section only, everything else is OK.

I've tried everything adjusting all the Sync settings, clearing my inbox on the PC, but no matter what I do it still comes up with this error and I haven't a clue why?

I can't see what its having trouble with, if I have nothing in the PC inbox to sync with in the first place?

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Hi David,

May be an idea to check the settings under Options on the ActiveSync dialog box.

Under Rules you'll have the option (in the event of an unresolved item) to either over-ride what is on the PC with what is on the Smartphone, or vice versa.

Choosing one will sort the unresolved issue.

The other alternative is to delete the partnership (by removing the phone from its cradle, going to ActiveSync File menu, and selecting Delete Partnership, then putting the phone back into its cradle and making a new partnership again)

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the reply, I had tried all those suggestions with no luck at all then after another hour or two playing around this morning, I stumbled across the answer.

I emptied my "deleted items" folder in Outlook on my PC and it also cleared the sync error.

I must confess I haven't got a clue why that should fix it or what the trouble was, but its gone now so I guess all's well.
