Guest markjoanne Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 When I try to use active sync i get the message "the TCP/IP network transport is not installed" I am using windows 2000. Can anyone help?
Guest moo_ski_doo Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I'm not sure why you need TCP/IP to use ActiveSync and if you have an Internet connection you must already have it installed. If you think you might not have it installed, go to Network Connections in the Control Panel, right-click and choose Properties on your network connection (this might be slightly different in Win 2000, I'm using XP) and check the list that comes up to see if you've got 'Internet Protocal (TCP/IP)' installed. If not, choose Install, then choose Protocol in the list that comes up, then Add... then TCP/IP (I think these are already part of Windows, but you might need some network card drivers for this.) Let me know if this helps :)
