This was posted at the PocketPC forums by an AT&T Engineer:

First of all I am glad you liked the device!

The MPx200 was my project at AWS.

I just wanted to mention a couple of things:

Unfortunately the MPx200 will not take advantage of the new mMode deck. The MSFT browser does not support cascading style sheets so it does not handle the new mMode configuration.

If the device is purchased through the affiliate you mentioned it will be rather different. The obvious difference is it will not be the same radio stack and of course it will not be the AWS ROM image. The not so obvious difference is the AWS version is only dual-band (1800MHz and 1900MHz) and not tri-band (1900/1800/900). The reason for this is the AWS version has had RF performance improvements for the 1900 MHz band. These improvements made it necessary to remove the 900MHz band functionality from the device. Just wanted folks to be aware of this difference and why it is different.

Your comment about battery life is accurate, definately not the best but the device has a powerful processor and a beautiful screen it has to power so you can imagine that does take some battery life.

This device is not for the person who "just wants to make phone calls" that person will be disappointed. This device is for the mobie professional that will take advantage of the extremely powerful abilities of the device. That person will be quite happy I am sure.

This means the 900 band is software controlled so when Orange release MPX200 on the market I hope to see some Orange ROMs on the net. Knowing Orange it'll be Certification Locked.
