Guest stu.mcandrew Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 Hi All, Unfortunately I have to have 2 phones (SPV is mine and 6310 is standard issue compulsory company phone!!), and with the new mobile phone/driving legislation coming out on the 1st of Dec, I need to get myself legal. Does anyone know if the Jabra BT200 bluetooth headset will work with my Nokia 6310i as well as my SPV E100? Cheers Stu
Guest pmckean Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Are you sure? I thought only the E200 had Bluetooth. The Jabra should not work with the E100 or original SPV, as far as I know.
Guest blewer Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I think Paul must have meant E200
Guest crafty Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I think that the Jabra BT headset comes with a 'base unit' that plugs into the audio jack so it is compatible with the SPV/E100 :/ See this topic for more details: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=88645 8)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Does anyone know if the Jabra BT200 bluetooth headset will work with my Nokia 6310i as well as my SPV E100? This implies that he has the BT200 working with his SPV (the one for 'non bluetooth phones' I would assume), and so yes, that one would also work with a 6310i. P
Guest kingdom master Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 when you do the deal below, you get the bluetooth unit for 39.99, email or pm to reserve now!! tom
Guest neilg Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 depends on the version of BT200 you have. The early ones (2002 early 2003) only supported headset and not handsfree profile (or the other way round) which specifically caused problems with Nokia's. You can send it to Jabra for a firmware upgrade if it is an old one though I think. Sorry I dont have the exact details to hand. To tell if it supports Nokia....If it has the upgraded firmware when you go to voicedial someone you would press the send/end button birefly for one 'beep' and say the name/tag and it would dial for one profile. For nokias you have to press the send end and hold until a second beep and then say the voicetag to get it to work. If it is one of the ones with the BT base unit for non-BT phones then the ones I have seen has support for all profiles as they were brought out later than the originals. if you don't already have the BT200 then i am sure any new on e will work and you can always try it and take it back if it doesnt work! If you are getting a new one I would wait a bit as they are about to launch the BT250 (same but with better battery from what I can see) so you could either get that or I am sure it will make tyhe original BT200 even cheaper!
