Ok first off what phone do you have?

To SIM unlock the phone you need to have a bootloader of V0.98 or below

and also you must have Win 2k or XP on your PC.

Can you post exactly what you have and also what is happening when you

run the unlock app.

First of all it depends what phone and OS version you have on your phone?

You can put a lower bootloader but just replacing the Bootloader it's self either using Winhex or having an SD card with the bootloader on.

If you have the newer bootloader ie the latest SAP it's not as easy to downgrade, if not impossible for the less exprerianced user.

I have an spvE100 with build 13037.

Whats the best way to get the right bootloader in order to sim unclock my phone?

and will there be any disadvantages of having a older bootloader?

The best option is to have the bootloader on an SD card as it makes the process easy to do. My personal favourite is V0.93

as for disadvantages, there are non.

I've done everything stated to unlock my SPV but the Unlock program never goes past 0%. Have I missed something or does it take ages to do?

Please help!!

If you cannot go pat 0% then you have one of two problems causing this.

1, Bootloader is higher than V0.98

2, You are not using a PC with Win 2k or XP

Welcome to the site Leo :)

What phone do you have?

to find your bootloader version, power off the phone then press and

hold the record button and then press the power button.

Once the phone starts to boot up let go of the buttons and you will see

the three colour canary screen with your bootloader version displayed.

Just reading your other posts and you say you have a SAP phone,

if this is on the latest update then it is extremely hard to downgrade the bootloader as you can not simply just downgrade it.

Also as you are using Win ME you cannot use the SIM unlock program

as you must have Win 2k or XP.Just reading your other posts and you say you have a SAP phone,

If you have a firewall running try dissabling it first.

Hi Leo!!

After many days of struggle (and thnx to awarener - respect) I found an excellent article in formum. Just type "unlocking" in Search and then go to

"Ultimate guide How to UNLOCK when spvunlock doesnt unlock."

This should help U. Remember to have canary screen and orange sim card when downgrading/upgrading OS and of course XP of W2k )

Good luck and have fun!!

here can u find all the rom versions :))

Good luck!!

Unfortunately there is not a simple way (as such) to downgrade the bootloader on the latest SAP phones, If you have the latest SMART update it's a bit more complex to downgrade to SIM unlock, which I presume you want to do.

If you are a new user to the phone I would not suggest you try to downgrade to beginwith as you could end up with a nice expensive paperweight.
